The San Francisco Cannabis Oversight Committee held its first meeting of 2023 with its new slate of voting members this afternoon at 49 South Van Ness in Room 196. We reviewed the Committee’s Bylaws and voted to approve a revision to the Mission Statement in the Bylaws to specifically reference legacy operators. We elected Ali Jamalian as our Chair and Adam Hayes as our Vice Chair. For our next meeting, to be held in approximately 6 weeks, I made sure to include on the agenda a discussion of former Committee member Sara Payan’s vital work relating to medical patient issues in San Francisco and how we can continue this work as we move forward.
